It is amazing to me that it can take 8 weeks to rebuild our kitchen but only a day to deconstruct most of the existing one. On the first day of our remodel two guys spent approximately 4 hours removing cabinets and counters.
When we moved in in 2001 we lived with original appliances until we just couldn’t take it anymore. In 2003 we painted the cabinets. Tomorrow we throw it all away begin the nearly two month project of bringing our 16 year old kitchen into the modern era.
Parents, beware what you do and say around your children. They are natural mimics! Look what little Henry is doing with no prompting whatsoever.
Emma’s had a bicycle for quite some time now and is really quite good at riding. I wanted to expand her range a bit so one afternoon we headed across the street into the canyon to let her ride on a wide open path. A trip back the next day ended in disaster.
It’s really hard to believe that three months have passed since Easter. Emma and Henry both looked adorable in their Easter outfits and were very excited this year about the egg hunt.
One of Emma’s favorite books lately is Fancy Nancy. The illustrator, Robin Preiss Glasser, was at A Whale of A Tale recently to read from the new Nancy book. We couldn’t pass this up and attended the signing in full fancy regalia.
Gearing up for Easter this year Marla and the kids attended a playgroup egg hunt. Yes, it is July. And, yes, I did say Easter. So just enjoy the pictures and leave me alone, OK? :)
I introduced Emma and Henry to Mister Rogers this week. We’ve grown a little tired of Blue’s Clues over the past few months. And by “we” I mean Marla and I.
You’ll find the kids posing ever so sweetly on the couch, at the table and in the bathtub. You’ll also see Henry and Daddy playing Excite Truck on the Wii, Henry rockin’ it acoustic-style and the kid’s first experience with a bubble bath.
