Cora has been slow to get moving (despite her love for the movey-movey) so we were delighted when she took her first tentative crawl on Tuesday night. It was only three feet but after months of watching her be frustrated anything was a spectacular success.

The beginning of this set has a few photos of me and Emma headed to the Brownies Hawaiian Dance at the end of February. She was so excited to be getting fancy and dancing with Daddy. I know this won’t last much longer, so I was glad to go. (In fact, it didn’t even last until the dance. Once we arrived she had no interest in hanging out with Daddy.)
A few weeks ago Emma and Henry cajoled us into buying musical birthday cards. Now, it wasn’t anyone’s birthday but they loved the music. Seeing them sing and dance in the Hallmark store made it nearly impossible to resist.
Emma’s always looking for an excuse to “dress fancy,” so while Grandma and Grandpa Mandel were visiting us in October we had Cora’s baby naming. Emma and Henry were little angels and behaved the whole way through the service. (See photos from Henry’s naming here.)

We had dinner in Santa Monica in Jamie’s new backyard. Cora was just a hair over a month old and quite the center of attention.
I’ve been remiss in not posting more photos. Cora is a growing girl and looks nothing like these pictures. Soak in your last glimpses of an underweight premie. Cora is now a healthy, happy 9 pounder!
Some wise men once asked, “What do you do in the bath?” If your name is Cora and it is your very first bath, you quietly look around and, generally, look cute.
There are also some shots of Cora doing her cute baby thing in this set of photos. She is still a tiny thing, even after gaining a pound and a half and gaining two inches since she came home.
I’m afraid to think this, let alone type it, but Cora is an absolute angel. After being home just a week she’s appears to be a most mild mannered baby, always agreeable and rarely cross.
