iPhone Sales by Quarter

Posted in Technology on January 22nd, 2009 by Todd – 4 Comments

When searching for information on historical iPhone sales earlier today I was shocked to discover that no one had simply tabulated quarterly and cumulative sales of the iPhone. I found a few posts related to the rise in Safari traffic on websites and some information for the first few quarters but little for Apple’s Fiscal 2008.

ReadyNAS NV+

Since making the switch to digital a few years ago I’ve been paranoid about losing all of my “negatives” to a simple hard drive crash. I recently added NAS to our home network via a ReadyNAS NV+ and simultaneously made my files safer and increased my nerd quotient.

Wow. Who knew there was such a thing as definition lists? I certainly should have, but didn’t. Shame on me!

In other news, I’m giving TopStyle Pro a whirl. It’s written by Nick Bradbury, the author of the original Homesite (pre-Allaire, pre-Macromedia). It feels almost like home!

Yesterday was the last day for GameSpy Industries and the beginning of something all new: IGN/GameSpy. Check out the press release discussing the new company. Some frightening numbers:

What Color is Mars?

Posted in Technology on January 20th, 2004 by Todd – Comments Off

What started as a simple question and some interesting images on Martian Soil has turned into a fun ride down conspiracy lane! A few rational comments on color calibration of the pictures coming back from the Spirit Rover led me to do a little Googling and reading. Apparently the color of Mars, our reasons for exploring and other topics have been the subject of conspiracy theorists for years. Check out this sampling of links on a blue(r) Mars:
