Overnight at Monterey Bay Aquarium

Henry has only been in Cub Scouts for a few months but our list of activities keeps piling up. At the beginning of November we were able to go on an overnight trip with the Scouts to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We are no strangers to aquariums, having been members at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Staying overnight, though, was a whole new experience. We had the place virtually to ourselves, which made for a very leisurely visit.

Before meeting up with the scouts, though, we stopped off at Pacific Grove Marine Gardens Park to play a bit by the sea. Henry loved the crashing waves and hopping along the rocks… that is, until we got caught in the tide. We enjoyed a wet dinner at Henry’s BBQ and then headed over to meet the scouts and enjoy the adventure you see pictured here.

  1. You really got a bunch of very fine pictures. I like that sunlight streaming thru the clouds. The pictures tell a vivid story of Henry & his reactions. He seems to have handled the wet feet very nicely. It sure is a nice area. I did enjoy my duty there which included controlling fighter aircraft from a radar site in Pacific Grove….over 50 years ago. Seems like yesterday. Enjoyed the
    scenery you provided.
