On a lazy day before Easter Cora was playing with blocks in front of a brightly lit window. The photographer in me knew it would be a great opportunity to capture her at play. I love the expressions on her face as she stacks the blocks and sees what happens when she topples them over.
There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching someone completely caught up in the moment. It could be a great musician performing, an athlete in the midst of concentration… or, in this case, Henry focused on wringing every ounce of enjoyment possible from a toy truck and a pile of sand. He played for all he was worth!
Emma’s first grade class performed “The Gingerbread Man” as their holiday play. She was one of the trees, who’s sole line was, “Too bad!”
Emma and Henry are now playing with the following resurected toys from my childhood: Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and My Little Pony. There’s a Transformers movie on the way. I’m sure it won’t be long until you see Smurfs coming back to a screen near you. Continue reading
