On the last day my parents were here we paid a visit to Ono Ono, a local Hawaiian restaurant. We’re gearing up for our big trip to the Big Island at the end of December.
We went to the Taste of Newport a few weeks ago with Katie and Spiff. It’s a big food and music festival held in Newport Beach.
We went to sample the wares of local restaurants like Agora Churrascaria, Clayton Shurley’s, Wildfish and others. As an added bonus The Go-Go’s were performing! Being the huge Belinda Carlisle fan that she is, Marla couldn’t pass it up.
We made chocolate ice cream the other week and, as you can see, the kids seemed to enjoy it. It was the first time we’d attempted making chocolate and it turned out fairly well. I think that Emma and Henry would have enjoyed it either way! Continue reading
A few weeks ago we went to P.F. Chang’s for dinner. I forget what the occassion was but we ended up having a blast, as you can see. Both Emma and Henry ate with abandon.
Henry has been putting all of this new teeth to good use. As evidenced in these pictures the boy likes to gnaw. Nothing makes him happier than to whittle a carrot down to size with his new molars. All four (two top, two bottom) are in now, in addition to the eight chompers he has in the front.
Emma has been itching to get to get back to a “car show” since we went to the California International Autoshow back in October. So a few weeks ago we went up to L.A. to see the L.A. Auto Show. Curiously enough the 2005 show was in Jan of 2006!
