Despite her age and her size, Cora is determined to do everything that her older brother and sister might do. This includes carrying a backpack, doing “homework”, playing piano and riding a bicycle.

It’s hard to believe that she’s three already. Walking, talking, dancing and giggling with delight. Who could have imagined how wonderful she would turn out to be?
Nothing beats a berry straight out of the field.
Emma is performing in her very first school play, a performance of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She will be playing a Wonka Bar and has been practicing relentlessly for weeks. Here’s a little preview.
Cora and I were watching football the other day when I suddenly realized that she had been sitting next to me spitting for the last 5 minutes. I whipped out the iPhone and captured her spitting for another 2 minutes. She was happy as could be, completely drenched in drool and spit.
Cora has been slow to get moving (despite her love for the movey-movey) so we were delighted when she took her first tentative crawl on Tuesday night. It was only three feet but after months of watching her be frustrated anything was a spectacular success.
A few weeks ago Emma and Henry cajoled us into buying musical birthday cards. Now, it wasn’t anyone’s birthday but they loved the music. Seeing them sing and dance in the Hallmark store made it nearly impossible to resist.
Emma has been taking dance for a little over six months now and had her first recital back in June. It was a tap-dancing, tendu-ing festival to behold. Continue reading
