My Hoya R72 arrived from B&H Photo and I was eager to try out my first digital IR shots. I’d read lots about digital IR but had seen very little specific to shooting with the 10D. Check out the results! I’m really excited about exploring the world of the near IR. Aren’t you?

A few more galleries today. First up is lunch at the Square in Marietta. We had Cuban, with Emma eating her first plantaine. Yummy! On Dec 29 (our 7th wedding anniversary) we went to the Pink Pig at Lenox Mall. This Atlanta tradition returned after a decade on hiatus. It was great to be able to take Emma.
The summer was filled with weddings, it seems. My brother, friends from work and Rochester and a cousin. Good opportunities to capture little Miss Emma all dressed up!
We were blessed with lots of great sunsets in August. I, of course, tried to capture them on “film.” Also put up a few shots of Emma helping me put together a bookshelf.
Two subjects that don’t often go together, true.

Oh, and the number of candidates is down to a much more manageable 131 candidates according the the L.A. Times. Joy!
I posted a number of pictures I’ve taken recently of flowers, tomatoes and other things.
I had a pretty good time trying to take pictures of the 4th of July fireworks. The few I captured were, I think, from Dana Point. I believe that’s where the Arroyo Trabuco trail ends.
Hooray! I got my first ratings over at photo.net – without even requesting a critique. My “Post With Barbed Wire at Sunset” didn’t get high marks, but that’s OK with me. As long as they’re not bad! :)
