A Marathon Together
Between the two of us we will run a full marathon tomorrow!

We were in Georgia for Henry’s 6th birthday a few weeks ago and had a small, understated party. That’s a big difference from the bowling extravaganza we had last year.
What’s that? You’ve never been to a bowling extravaganza before? Well, let me tell you all about it. There are balls and shoes and lanes and bowling alley cakes and pizza and neon lights and…
It’s almost time for soccer to start again in 2010… so I guess I’d better show you how awesome Henry was in 2009, eh? His AYSO team last year was the Blue Thunder and was filled with many first-timers. The goals were fun and basic soccer skills and Henry came away with both thanks to a great coach.
Hooray! A swim meet at 7:15 on a Saturday morning is a great way to start the weekend!
Its Henry’s first swim meet and big sister is there to offer some moral support.
As we gear up for Swim Team 2010 I thought we’d share more photos from Emma’s swim career last year. This set is from a meet at our “home” pool on Arroyo Vista, with announcer duties performed by the highly popular Mr. Henry, a teacher at Emma’s school.
Emma joined the Rancho Santa Margarita Dolphins swim team this year and took to the water like, well, a dolphin. She practiced multiple times per week focusing on the 25 m freestyle and 25 m backstroke. Despite being the shortest person on the team she wasn’t (always) the slowest. By the time for the first meet her body was tan and her stroke smooth.
Cora has been walking for two weeks but, as you can see from the video below, she’s already well on her way to becoming a soccer super star.
