I was introducing the kids to some Simon & Garfunkel the other night and Cora started dancing when “Cecelia” came on. She stopped dancing immediately, of course, once she saw that the camera was rolling.

Strawberry Picking

We’ve belonged to the CSA program (community supported agriculture) that South Coast Farms in San Juan Capistrano runs for almost five years now. Every other week we get a giant basket of yummy fruits and veggies, largely picked straight from the farm that day.

Emma Turns 7

Since our trip to San Francisco last year Emma has been in love with trollies. When searching for a place for her birthday party this year it was natural to choose The Old Spaghetti Factory in Newport Beach. The trolley dining car in the middle of the restaurant was a dream come true.

Concord Woolen Mills

When exploring in the woods one day they happened to find the ruins of an old cotton mill. This became a new place to play.

Cora Likes Blocks

On a lazy day before Easter Cora was playing with blocks in front of a brightly lit window.  The photographer in me knew it would be a great opportunity to capture her at play.  I love the expressions on her face as she stacks the blocks and sees what happens when she topples them over.

Playing On The Square

We took a jaunt to the Marietta Square on a fine spring day, mostly to play on the train. While Granma watched Emma and Henry play, Marla and I had an excellent Turkish lunch at Efe’s Restaurant. Cora, as you can see, especially like the humus.
