Today is Emma’s fifth birthday. She started celebrating yesterday with a trip to Disneyland for some face painting. A new bicycle and a dinner out with her friend Alicia capped off the day today.
Marla quietly had a birthday in August. Emma and Henry helped me make a cake early in the morning. (How much they helped vs. how much they ate is a matter up for debate.) We ended the day at Disneyland with some spectacular fireworks.
It is a trip to Disneyland with friends Spiff and Katie. We were looking forward to a slow visit to the park, anticipating that in late February no one would be there.
Turns out we are a scant 28 miles from Disneyland. We splurged and got an annual pass for the entire family. Our last two weekends, therefore, have been spent with Mickey and the gang. We went in the evening on June 13 and then Emma and Marla took me for Father’s Day the following Sunday morning.
