It doesn’t seem like that long ago that we brought Henry home from the hospital, premature and frighteningly small. Today he turns two and is a happy and well-rounded child. Happy birthday, my boy!
Henry was in a whiny mood the other week, pitching fits whenever he didn’t get his way. After a few of these episodes in one day I’d had enough. So, as he screamed and cried, I calmly sat right in front of him and captured the moment on “film.”
My dad, AKA Grandpaw, was in town just after Christmas on business. Despite being over 50 miles away in glorious Rancho Cucamonga he struggled through LA traffic to meet his second grandchild. (Well, Riverside traffic, anyway, which can be worse.)
Who is this Billy Reuben character, anyway? And why is he so interested in my son? (I kid, I kid.) Looks like “tip-top” shape was a little bit of an overstatement.
Less than 24 hours later and we are the proud new parents of Henry Owen Northcutt. Born at 4:59 PM on December 21st, 2004 Henry weighed in at a trim 5 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 16.5 inches tall.
Marla’s water broke at 12:30 AM this morning. We were admitted to Mission Hospital at about 1:30 AM. She’s resting fine at the hospital now and we’re waiting on the fun (labor) to begin.
